Georgian signs on as Nuclear Innovation Institute’s newest Friend

Georgian College recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII) agreeing to work together to drive projects and programs for the broad benefit of the energy sector and our local communities.

On June 6, Dave Shorey, Executive Director for the Owen Sound Campus (far left) and Kevin Weaver, Vice President, Academic at Georgian College (second from the left) visited NII and met with Bruce Wallace, NII President and CEO (second from right) and Mike Rencheck, Chair, NII Board of Directors and President and CEO of Bruce Power.

Friends of NII are not-for-profit and public sector organizations—such as industry groups, postsecondary and research institutions—that share NII’s mission to embrace new thinking and technologies to improve performance in the energy industry.
