We want to hear from you.
Great ideas come from anywhere, and NII welcomes submissions for project ideas from academic researchers, industry experts and the general public. Proposals will be assessed by NII and any relevant funders.
Please fill out this short form if you have an idea for a research project in the areas of environmental sustainability or human health.

In particular, we are looking for submissions that focus on:

Protecting the environment in the Bruce, Grey and Huron region

Making progress towards a net-zero emissions economy, studying ways to lower greenhouse gas emissions or expand low-carbon energy sources

Examining the ecological and health implications of the Bruce Power site operations

Overhead policy: To ensure the majority of funds are allocated to direct research activities, overhead costs for projects funded by Environment@NII should not exceed 10% of the total project funding.
Overhead includes administrative support, facilities, utilities, and other indirect costs essential for project administration. Requests to exceed this cap may be made under exceptional circumstances and must receive prior approval.
